Honouring and amplifying mothers’ voices is central to everything we do. Meaningful solutions must be grounded in the lived experiences of women, their babies, their families, and their communities.

Building public understanding of women’s journeys into motherhood is essential — not to sensationalize suffering, but to remember, learn, and acknowledge the realities that have shaped maternal health over the past decade. These stories help explain why this work matters and why the rebuilding of a maternal health system must be rooted in dignity, accountability, care.

We approach storytelling with deep responsibility. Many women have endured profound harm, neglect, and loss. For this reason, we are taking the time to develop ethical, trauma-informed approaches that prioritize consent, safety, and respect. Stories will only be shared when it is appropriate, protective, and led by the voices of those who choose to speak.
